如何自学准备剑桥大学STEP数学竞赛考试?

STEP考试分成3个Paper（STEP I，STEP II，STEP III），难度、题型、内容各不相同，但考试时间和格式相似，STEP 1有11道题, STEP 2&3有12道题。需要考哪一个Paper由你Conditional Offer的要求来决定

。

STEPI和II的考纲范围相似，差别在于STEP II更难，考察知识点更高级也更深入，类似A-level数学P2和P3的差别，STEP I 和II都是建立在A-level数学的基础上的拓展内容，大致的考纲如下：

STEP1

Section A：Proof, Algebra，Functions，Coordinate geometry，sequenceand series, Trigonometry, Exponential and Logarithms, Calculus, Numerical Methods, Vectors, Curve Sketching

Section B（Mechanics）：Kinematics, Force and Newton’s Laws, Moments

Section B（Prob.&Stats.）：Statistical sampling, Data presentation and interpretation, Probability, Statistical Distribution, Hypothesis Testing

STEP2

Section A：Complex Numbers, Matrices, Further Algebra andfunctions, Further Calculus, Further Vectors

Section B（Mechanics）：Energy, Work, Power, Collisions, Hooke’s Law

Section B（Prob.&Stats.）：Distributions

STEP3

STEPIII的考纲内容更偏向于 A-level 的 Further Mathematics，难度更上一个台阶，在I和II的内容基础上添加了更多 A-level 考纲之外的内容，部分内容是大一甚至大二数学的知识。

如果你确定要自学，我只能给几个笼统的建议：

1）熟识STEP的考纲

2）熟练使用STEP Formula Booklet

3）找到正确的学习方法

4）在正确的刷题套路下，刷题，再刷题。STEP的Past paper都在Cambridge的官网上，也有相应的答案和解析。

5）推荐一个实用的练习演示的网站：https://maths.org/step/

6）强烈建议在A-level学习期间就同步开始准备STEP，比如在练习P3/C3的时候，就同步准备STEP I和II。在A2学习Further Mathematics时，同步准备STEP II和III。
